The SCIP Working Group has organized two special sessions on "Soft Computing in Image Processing: Recent Advances" at the FUZZ-IEEE 2006 Conference in Vancouver, Canada (also see this page of the SCIP website).
The editors of the International Journal of Approximate Reasoning have offered us the opportunity to edit a special issue of their journal, dedicated to the sessions at FUZZ-IEEE 2006.
Therefore, we kindly invite all authors to submit a significantly extended version of their paper for publication in this exciting journal, included in the Science Citation Index. Detailed submission guidelines, as well as a timeline, can be found below. All submitted papers will enter the usual IJAR review process, being reviewed by at least two independent referees, and all accepted papers will be published in the journal.
For more information or questions, contact the guest editors; contact details are at the end of this document.
Submission guidelines from the publisher
General remarks:
- Papers should be prepared with Word or LaTeX. For the initial submission it is sufficient to submit the manuscript (preferably as a pdf-file). For the final submission, it is important that you also include any additional files (e.g. figures, class/style/bib-files with LaTeX, ...) that you have used.
- Articles must be written in good English.
- Papers must have up to 18 pages length (in the layout as requested by the publisher).
- Upon acceptance of an article, authors will be asked to transfer copyright. This transfer will ensure the widest possible dissemination of information. A letter will be sent to the corresponding author confirming receipt of the manuscript. A form facilitating transfer of copyright will be provided.
Specific guidelines, both for Word and LaTeX users, can be found in the "Guide for Authors" of Elsevier, which is available here. It is crucial that you strictly follow these guidelines.
Authors should submit their manuscript by email to the guest editors (see below for contact details).
